To participate, you must:

• Be a legal U.S. resident age 18 or older
• Be a full- or part-time first-year student (1L) at a U.S. law school. You must be enrolled prior to the end date of this promotion.

Current Westlaw® student representatives are eligible to play.

The email address that you provided upon registration will be used solely for purposes of Legal Fictionary game play. Your email address will not be shared with any third parties.

Points are not automatically deposited into your WestlawRewards account—you must do it manually. Here’s how it works:

When you earn points, we’ll send you an email with a promotion code. If you are a current WestlawRewards member, log on to WestlawRewards.com and click on "Promo Codes" link to enter your code. Choose "Legal Fictionary" from the dropdown menu and enter the code you received in the email. Once a promotion code is submitted, the points will be deposited in your account.

If you aren’t a WestlawRewards member but do have a Westlaw password, complete your registration on lawschool.westlaw.com. Then follow the instructions above to deposit points in your account. If you haven’t received a Westlaw password yet, please talk to your West Academic Account Manager or Representative, or a faculty representative at your school.

You must redeem all promotion codes by May 31st, 2009. Go to My Game Stats to see a cumulative list.

If you win, we’ll send you an email to collect your mailing address (so we know where to send the prize). For some of the book prizes, we’ll also ask you to choose the subject you’d like. Prizes will be shipped in 6 to 8 weeks.

If you win the grand or runner up prizes, we’ll ask you to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability, and a publicity release. Once we verify these documents, we’ll officially award your prize.

You can see all the promotion codes you’ve accumulated to date in My Game Stats. Be sure to redeem all codes by May 31st, 2009. After this date, all codes (and unclaimed points) will expire.

WestlawRewards is a program that awards you points as you research on Westlaw. Points can be redeemed for merchandise in the Rewards Catalog.

Schools distribute Westlaw passwords at different times of the semester/year. To find out when passwords will be granted, talk to your West Academic Account Manager or Representative, or a faculty representative at your school.

After you have received and registered your Westlaw password, go to WestlawRewards.com and click "Register your password here." Then, opt in to membership for WestlawRewards.

Once you activate your membership (see previous question), you can earn WestlawRewards Points in several ways:

• Conduct Westlaw research. Earn points each time you visit Westlaw and perform a research activity (up to once per day, maximum five times per week).
• Play Westlaw trivia. After you sign out of your Westlaw research session, click the trivia icon to receive a trivia question. Play once per day, maximum five times per week, and earn up to 1,150 WestlawRewards Points this semester.
• KeyCite® Sweepstakes. Starting September 2nd, conduct valid KeyCite and Graphical KeyCite® searches to be automatically entered into our daily drawings for WestlawRewards Points. You can enter up to 5 times per day, Monday through Friday.
• WestlawRewards emails. Our emails are full of opportunities for earning points for trying out different Westlaw features.
• Attend Westlaw trainings. Watch for Westlaw training opportunities at your school, and earn points for attending trainings.
• Participate in local incentives. Attend events conducted by your school's West Academic Account Manager and Student Reps for more chances to earn points.
